Drewrys: A time-tested taste, with future-focused flavor
Up until 30 years ago, everyone knew Drewrys beer. Our history goes back to the 19th century, and we’re proud of our distinguished brewing heritage. We’re back, and we’re making the Drewrys label even better-known and well-regarded than it was before.
The beer that works for you
Drewrys. It’s a great story about how Frank Manzo in Chicago bought the Drewrys Brewing Company brand a few years back. Fondly remembering his dad and uncles drinking beers like Drewrys and Canadian Ace when he was a kid, and noting the popularity of some “retro” brands in today’s beer market, he took a look at some abandoned beer trademarks and discovered Drewrys, among others. Frank bought it right away. With Drewrys, Canadian Ace and Holihans on Manzo’s list, he saw an opportunity to bring these classic brands back to the modern market.

Coming to you, and coming back in style
Ugly Dog Media – a full service marketing and public relations firm based in South Bend, Indiana – is Manzo’s right hand in launching the new Drewrys brand. Ugly Dog Media represented Drewrys at South Bend’s Brew Fest, and the city was immediately abuzz with the news that Drewrys is back. Drewrys was the favorite booth at the event, before there was a beer! Following the media attention of the launch, Drewrys availability continues to grow. Be sure to like Drewrys on Facebook and @DrewrysBrewing on Twitter, and follow news of upcoming events and all the new venues like The State Theater, and The Emporium and Downtown Comedy Connection, that are serving Drewrys.
Ask for it in your favorite pub or restaurant, too, and remember it’s not just a South Bend thing. Drewrys is a regional beer available elsewhere in Michiana, in Chicago and in Michigan.
Can we crash on your couch?
Drewrys is currently brewed under contract, but we’re in the early stages of working on a South Bend brewing facility location. In the meantime, Appletree Capital, located in McHenry, IL, is Drewrys official headquarters.
